Our Story

Zyana Yoga is more than a studio—it’s a space for healing, growth, and transformation.

The name Zyana means growth and balance

Two values central to our studio’s philosophy. This studio reflects its founder’s journey and a reminder that even in the face of doubt and adversity, growth is always possible.

Our logo features the unalome

A symbol from Buddhist and Hindu traditions that represents the path to enlightenment—a journey marked by growth, challenges, and awakening. Much like yoga, the unalome signifies each practitioner's personal journey, embracing the twists and turns along the way.

Meet The Founder

Zyana Yoga was founded by Zoe Zeng, a devoted mom of three and a certified yoga teacher who has inspired countless students through her journey of perseverance and transformation.

Her story began in a time of deep struggle, as she faced depression. Yoga became her refuge, a lifeline during moments of overwhelming doubt and hardship. It was on the mat that she started to rebuild herself—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—finding the strength to move forward one breath at a time.

But her journey didn’t stop there. As she trained to become a yoga teacher, she faced another uphill battle: learning to teach in English, a language that felt foreign to her tongue. There were moments of frustration and self-doubt, where her fears of mispronunciation or not being understood nearly stopped her from pursuing her dreams. Yet, she fought through every challenge with determination, passion, and courage.

Today, Zoe is not just a yoga teacher; she’s a testament to the power of perseverance. Her authenticity and ability to connect deeply with her students have made her one of the most sought-after instructors in her community. She brings her life experiences—of struggle, resilience, and growth—into every class, inspiring others to overcome their own challenges.

Lastly, Zyana resonates with Zoe on a personal level. It reminds her of the transformative power of yoga, which has brought beauty and balance into her own life. She wanted a name that would inspire others to embark on their own transformative journeys.
